The Toronto Motorcycle Show Rated a Tremendous Success Drawing 35,000 Visitors

Toronto, Ontario, February 9, 2005... The Toronto Motorcycle Show is only three years old and is already considered a world class event.  In December, it attracted almost 35,000 motorcycle enthusiasts to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from all over Ontario.

"Our exhibit space was sold out with a waiting list more than a month before Show time. The Toronto Motorcycle Show is firmly established as Toronto's premiere industry event", said an elated Sherri Verdec, Show Manager of the Toronto Motorcycle Show.

Visitors had an exclusive opportunity to view the newest bikes and accessories direct from the manufacturers – including Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, BMW, Triumph, Ducati, Victory, KTM, Vespa and Aprilia.  There were more than 125 exhibitors on the almost 200,000 square foot exhibit floor.  These manufacturers, major retailers and distributors of motorcycles and ATVs featured every conceivable product and service.

The 2005 edition of the Toronto Motorcycle Show returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Friday, December 2nd to Sunday, December 4th.

Information on the 2005 Toronto Motorcycle Show will be available at: www.motorcycleshows.ca or www.sportshows.ca.

The Toronto Motorcycle Show is owned by the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council and the event is produced by Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows.

CNSS is a non-profit corporation and the largest producer of boat, fishing, sportsmen’s, ski, outdoor and motorcycle shows in Canada.  Through its family of shows, the corporation raises funds to ensure that generations of young Canadians can benefit from Canada’s outdoors.  Since the first show held in 1948, more than $27,000,000 has been committed to these causes.

The MMIC is a national, non-profit industry association that represents the major manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles in Canada.  The MMIC member companies account for more than 99 percent of all new motorcycles sold in Canada each year.

Ontarians DO NOT Pay 45% More For Auto Insurance

This past summer, the Canadian Consumers Association released a report stating that, on average, Ontario drivers pay 45% more for auto insurance than drivers in British Columbia.

I would say this number is out by at least $1,000.00.

But why take my word for it.
