VOLKSWAGEN REINTRODUCES GOLF CL FOR 2003
AJAX, Ontario -- Volkswagen Canada Inc. has reintroduced its popular Golf CL - a model designed to appeal to the true VW driving enthusiast who wants the high quality and dynamic style of the automaker's best engineering, but does not necessarily want to buy a long list of standard equipment.
The Golf CL is not a "stripped down" vehicle, but instead continues to offer the high quality and attention to safety that the Volkswagen brand embodies. Among the many standard features are: four-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking system (ABS), front and front side airbag supplemental restraints, 15 inch steel wheels with full wheel covers, and immobilizer theft protection.
The Golf CL is a four-door hatchback, and comes standard with Volkswagen's 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with ULEV certification.
Standard warranty on the Golf CL includes the Volkswagen's limited powertrain warranty, which provides five years or 100,000 kilometers of protection. A bumper-to-bumper new vehicle warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for four years or 80,000 kms, whichever comes first. The CL also has a 12-year, unlimited-distance, limited warranty against corrosion perforation and, of course, 24-hour roadside assistance for four years or 80,000 kms, whichever comes first.
The 2003 Golf CL is priced at $17,950, and available in Black, Tornado Red and Candy White.
